Thomas Walshe

Veterinarian

Thomas joined the SR Vets team in Jan 2023 after graduating with a BVSc (distinction) in
2022. Originally hailing from a sheep and beef farm near the North Island metropolis of
Hunterville, farming has been a huge part of Thomas’s upbringing, however the Canterbury
flats are a big change to the North Island hill country he is used to. After ten years of
suffering/education/character development in Palmerston North, Thomas was lured to the
mainland and is loving getting stuck into both companion & production animal veterinary
work in Canterbury.

Outside of work, Thomas fills his time playing premier cricket and hockey in Christchurch,
with a side of hunting, snowboarding, surfing and hacking around the golf course.
