Laura Gilchrist

BVSc | Veterinarian

Laura is from a sheep, beef and arable cropping farm in Southland. She graduated from Massey with a BVSc in 2020, beginning her career with Northern Southland Vets in Riversdale. These were formative years, with exposure to sheep, beef, deer, dairy, horses, working dogs, farm moggies and the odd hen. Laura made the move to join SRVets when she married Luke in spring 2023.

Laura enjoys working with a wide variety of companion, production and equine patients. Off farm, she appreciates gardening, squash, netball, snow & water skiing, tramping, and hunting & fishing with Luke. Laura has already been impressed with Canterbury’s friendly faces and warmer weather.
